Lead Eloqua developer and consultant for Vodafone, BT and DNV GL
Deloitte Digital create growth by elevating the human experience with connected ideas, technology and talent. I had the privilege of working as a senior Eloqua developer, solution architect and consultant on three major programs for them, combining deep technical work with client facing leadership.
These engagements shaped a lot of how I work today. They taught me how to communicate complex IT clearly, how to use the right frameworks to make projects succeed and how to blend hard technical skills with soft project management and stakeholder leadership.
Client background
Deloitte Digital bring together strategy, design, data and engineering to deliver digital transformation at scale. Their standards are high, their clients are demanding and their projects are complex. It is not a place where you can hide if you do not know what you are doing.
I joined them as an Eloqua specialist who could lead both the build and the consulting aspects of marketing automation programs. Over my time there I worked on three flagship engagements that covered implementation, transformation and complex migration.

Vodafone B2B
Eloqua implementation and onboarding
I led the Eloqua implementation for Vodafone's B2B marketing organisation. This included solution architecture, core template and asset design, implementing the platform alongside Deloitte technical teams and training regional marketing users.
The work contributed to Vodafone being recognised as an Oracle Markie finalist for Best Marketing Ecosystem.
BT Global Services
Marketing transformation for 200+ staff
For BT Global Services I was the lead Eloqua architect and developer on a major marketing transformation program. We moved more than 200 marketers from fragmented, manual activity into a structured, automation led operating model.
Deloitte Digital and BT won an Oracle Markie for Rapid Marketing Transformation. It remains one of the projects I am most proud of.
DNV GL
Migration from 9 MA platforms
DNV GL had nine different marketing automation platforms across regions, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Pardot variants. I designed the consolidated Eloqua architecture and led the migration of data, scoring, segmentation and program logic into a single, coherent platform.
It was one of the most complex migrations of my career and required both technical depth and careful stakeholder management.
What I learned at Deloitte Digital
Turning complex IT into clear stories
Deloitte Digital pushed me to become very good at using PowerPoint and visual frameworks to explain complex marketing and IT architectures. I learned how to design slides that tell a clear story, simplify technical detail and help senior stakeholders make decisions with confidence.
That skill has stayed with me. A good diagram at the right moment can change the direction of a project.
Delivery frameworks and soft PM skills
At Deloitte I learned professional grade delivery frameworks. That included proper governance, RAIDs, RACIs, stakeholder mapping, change management patterns and how to run workshops that actually unlock decisions instead of just collecting opinions.
I also developed soft project management skills. How to read a room, how to spot resistance early, how to keep a program moving when politics get in the way. Many of the projects I have delivered since have succeeded because of those lessons.
